Aerotek is hiring Flaggers in Washington, PA!
Location: Various job sites
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–10 hour shifts (occasional Saturdays)
Work Type: Full-time, Outdoor
Job Summary
We are hiring dependable, safety-minded Flaggers to support roadway construction and maintenance projects. Flaggers play a critical role in protecting workers, motorists, and pedestrians by directing traffic safely through active work zones.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios
- Set up and remove traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades)
- Monitor worksite conditions and adjust traffic flow as needed
- Communicate clearly with crew members, supervisors, and the public
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidents
- Remain alert while standing for extended periods in all weather conditions
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work outdoors year-round
- Strong communication skills and situational awareness
- Ability to remain calm and professional with the public
- Steel-toe or composite boots (above the ankle) required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous flagging or construction experience (not required)
- Traffic Control certification or willingness to obtain

Work Environment
This position is 100% outdoors on active construction sites. Orientation is held in an office setting, after which employees are dispatched from home. PPE is provided (excluding steel-toe boots).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
