Demolition Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Project Manager with 3 to 7 years of management experience in decommissioning, demolition, construction, and environmental remediation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing simultaneous field projects, client management, scheduling, safety standards monitoring, and will possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align customer requirements with company goals, coordinating various managers and technical personnel during all project phases.
- Enforce strict compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, working with the Corporate Health and Safety director.
- Serve as the primary contact point for client interactions, ensuring timely communication and high standards of service.
- Manage project budgets, ensure financial accountability, and oversee scheduling to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety and environmental hazards, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee quality control to ensure that work meets client specifications and company standards.
- Lead and motivate site project teams, providing direction and support, and ensuring team members are trained and prepared.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for regulatory compliance, and maintain detailed records of site activities.
- Efficiently allocate resources and personnel, ensuring the availability of the right tools and materials for effective project completion.
- Evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement in processes, focusing on enhanced safety measures and efficiency.
- Conduct regular check-ins with the project management team to discuss role development objectives.
Essential Skills
- At least 3 years of relevant project management experience in remediation, demolition, or decommissioning.
- Proficiency in reading architectural and structural plans.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods both domestically and internationally.
- Experience working with a wide variety of heavy equipment and tools for demolition.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a plus.
- Experience with FieldFlo project management software.
Work Environment
The role involves working on demolition and decommissioning projects, primarily in food and other industrial sectors, with projects located throughout the United States. Candidates should be prepared for travel and adapting to various job site conditions.
