Overview

Seeking MIG and Stick welders for smaller shop based in East York, PA. Shop specializes in welding and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous metals. They will then go out in the field and install their work onto job sites. Their job sites are within 2 hours from their shop, and they pay for an drive time to and from their shop. Must be able to pass and MIG and Stick weld test. This position requires being comfortable being in the shop, but also be open to going out in the field to install the work. Typical hours are a 7am start time Monday - Friday, working up to 40-55 hours a week!

*Contractors are required to provide their own welding gear, tools, and PPE for the job*

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, layout, assemble, and weld according to shop drawings and specifications.
• Perform miscellaneous metals layout, fitting, and welding.
• Utilize MIG and Stick welding techniques for various positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
• Operate tools and equipment such as ironworkers, saws, and plasma tables.
• Work at heights, on scissor lifts, and in tight spaces (only in the field).
• Assist with installations after projects are welded and fabricated.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
