Machine Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift

Location: York, PA

Pay Rate: $18–$22/hr

Shifts:

• 2nd Shift: Mon–Fri, 2pm–10pm (Train on 1st shift for 4–6 weeks)
• 3rd Shift: Sun–Thur, 10pm–6am (Train on 1st shift for 4–6 weeks)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join our expanding team. In this role, you’ll operate modern machinery to produce high‑quality wire products, ensure accuracy throughout the process, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital‑controlled respooling and drawing machinery to meet production goals.
• Load raw materials, correctly feed wire through machinery, and remove finished goods.
• Change machine settings for varying products or packaging requirements.
• Perform basic welding as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance on production and support equipment.
• Maintain accurate quality and production records using tape measures, micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Follow all safety policies, including use of PPE.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Participate in required training, meetings, and project teams.
• Adjust equipment for optimal performance under management guidance.
• Troubleshoot operational issues using standard problem‑solving methods.
• Obtain and maintain OSHA‑approved forklift certification.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment with changing priorities.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of two years of experience in an industrial facility with machine or production operations.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and use a calculator for complex tasks.
• Capability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 70 pounds regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical school education is a plus.
• Experience with safety protocols such as lockout-tagout.
• Familiarity with machine setup and welding.
• Comfortable using the metric measurement system.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in York,PA.
