A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
- Gather requirements from key business users and develop proposed solutions
- Review proposed solutions with key business users for approval of final solution and project scope.
- Implement data transfers, queries, and reports to meet customer needs.
- Creates and maintains standards and procedural documentation related to solutions
- Design and develop queries for user community using different software tools.
- Perform Data Validation and data integrity tests and ensure reports and applications comply with user requirements
- Develop jobs / processes to ensure efficient, accurate receipt and processing of data sources
- Monitor and recommend changes if required to all SQL packages and provide stored procedures and design and develop various relational databases.
- Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and data integrity issues when necessary.
- Provide enhancements to existing databases currently used in Operations by gathering detailed requirements and coordinating the implementation, rollout, and support of relevant systems with the databases
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and further develop the Hubbell Aiken Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIOT) network to enable vendor remote access to automation equipment and internal data collection and storage from automation equipment
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain cloud storage solutions for IoT using MQTT as necessary
- Experience generating, maintaining, and using MSSQL & Microsoft Access databases
- Experience creating reports with Power BI, MS Access, Excel, and Web based reports using Apache Superset
- Must have minimum 2-4 years VBA experience. Other programming languages are helpful.
- Experience with IoT networking and security
- Solid understanding of OEE concepts
- Aptitude in Data Analysis and presentation
- Good knowledge of logical and physical Data Modelling using normalizing techniques
- Effective interpersonal & communications skills (English - verbal & written)
Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology
