Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will set up and monitor production machinery to ensure the consistency and quality of the materials produced. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machines to approved maintenance standards and for training and developing technical skills within the production environment. Collaborating with the Facilities Manager, you will ensure production plan targets are met while working with Health & Safety and Quality personnel to maintain the quality system's effective performance.
Responsibilities
- Set up and monitor all machines to ensure consistency and quality products.
- Maintain and repair looms as needed to meet approved maintenance standards.
- Train and develop technical skills within the production environment.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to meet production plan targets.
- Work with Health & Safety and Quality personnel to maintain an effective quality system.
- Communicate maintenance schedules and breakdowns with production technicians.
- Advise production technicians of any trends in loom breakdowns.
Essential Skills
- Experience in machine operating, inspection, and quality inspection.
- Proficiency in machine setup and computer control experience, including CNC.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
