Job Title: Pipe Loader, Cutter or Preper

Job Description

The Foreman will assist pipe fitters and welders with material handling, move pipe and fittings to workstations, load and unload jack stands, and use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as applicable. The role includes assisting with pipe grinding, cutting, and leveling, maintaining shop cleanliness, and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist pipe fitters and welders with material handling.
• Move pipe and fittings to workstations.
• Load and unload jack stands.
• Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as applicable.
• Assist with pipe grinding, cutting, and leveling.
• Clean the shop and perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Construction or pipe-related experience is a plus.
• Equipment operation or forklift experience is a plus.
• Pipe experience is required.

Work Environment

The work environment involves operating in a shop setting where safety and precision are paramount. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols while handling heavy materials and operating machinery such as cranes and forklifts. The role requires physical exertion and mechanical skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duncan, SC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
