As a Sanitation Associate, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing food processing equipment, floors, walls, and related facilities according to established procedures and schedules. This role requires the removal and replacement of machine components for thorough cleaning and the operation of sanitation equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, and pressure washers. You will also mix and properly use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals in compliance with safety protocols, maintain accurate sanitation records, and conduct routine maintenance on sanitation tools.
Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, floors, walls, and related facilities.
- Remove and replace machine components for thorough cleaning.
- Operate sanitation equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, and pressure washers.
- Mix and properly use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate sanitation records, logs, and documentation.
- Conduct routine maintenance on sanitation tools.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain orderly work areas.
- Experience in production and sanitation.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning and janitorial duties.
- Ability to operate forklifts and perform general production tasks.
- Proficiency in machine operation, packaging, inspection, and use of hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work on a production line.
- Experience in cleanroom environments.
- Ability to use a tape measure and perform mechanical operations.
- Experience in packing, loading, and picking.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is climate-controlled, ranging from 45 to 65 degrees, and complies with FDA regulations. The facility currently accommodates around 50-75 people. The sanitation schedule is Monday through Friday, from 3 PM to 11 PM, with potential for working 9 to 12 hours a day. The headquarters are located in Reading, PA, and our facility focuses on producing food for the restaurant and hotel industry, including cookies, brownies, and scones.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.16 - $20.00/hr.
