Are you a seasoned field professional ready to lead high-impact Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) operations? As a SUE Technician, you’ll guide teams, oversee complex fieldwork, and ensure precision and safety in infrastructure projects that shape communities across the Southeast.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily SUE field operations across multiple job sites
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field crews and junior staff
- Ensure accurate data collection, documentation, and reporting
- Oversee the use and maintenance of specialized locating and survey equipment
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure project success
- Manage logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation for field operations
📌 What You Bring
- Proven experience in SUE field operations, land surveying, or utility locating
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency with total stations, GPS, electromagnetic locating tools, and GPR
- Familiarity with vacuum excavation and utility mapping standards
- Prior experience with USIC or similar organizations preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Willingness to travel and adapt to changing outdoor environments
🌎 Work Environment
This is a 100% field-based leadership role. You’ll oversee crews working outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain. Overnight travel may be required depending on project scope and location.
