Opportunity Overview:

Contract opportunity as a LEU+ Civil Structural Field Engineer is onsite at Columbia Fuel Facility in Columbia, SC.

Your Day-to-Day:

The primary goal is to assist the Construction Superintendent and Project Engineer by overseeing the civil/structural construction progress, interpreting drawings, and collaborating with the team to address civil/structural issues and maintain quality standard.

Conduct regular jobsite walk-downs to ensure compliance with engineering requirements for assigned discipline.

Participate in design reviews for assigned discipline.

Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, issues, and other relevant information for assigned discipline.

Demonstrate commitment to a safe and injury-free workplace by enforcing safety protocols and addressing potential hazards in the field.

Participate in regular jobsite project meetings and inspections as directed by the Construction Superintendent and Project Engineer.

Who You Are:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, specializing in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent degree, is required.

7 years discipline related Engineering experience is required at least 3 years in the nuclear industry.

3 years of technical project execution and/or field installation experience is required as a field engineer or similar role in the nuclear industry.

Previous experience in an engineering, procurement and operations environment in the nuclear industry.

Experience with construction methods and procedures.

Knowledge of the theories, principles, practice and techniques for designing structures, piping, and supports.

Knowledge of rigging and handling practices, the related standards, regulations, codes and directives and how they are applied.

Knowledge of construction codes as they apply in the nuclear industry.

Desire to exceed customers' expectations in ways that are in consideration of our goals.

OSHA 30-hour certification or other equivalent safety certification.

Will hold and maintain a Security Clearance at a US Nuclear facility.

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally carry / lift up to 50 pounds.

Individual must have full range of motion..

Freely access all points of a construction site in different environments.

You will be asked to pass a Westinghouse physical exam, which includes a spirometer for the ability to wear a respirator.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $57 - $67 per hour.
