About the role:

As a Procurement Project Management intern, you will support all procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-pilot, pilot, and execution.

You will report to the Project Procurement NF - AMERICA / /ASIA Regional Manager out of our Columbia location. This is a paid full-time remote summer position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the daily activities for PPMs including help with the development of sourcing & procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams
  • Support in the preparation and coordination of the request for interest (RFI) and quote (RFQ) process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services
  • Help prepare Proprietary Information Agreements (PIA)
  • RFI and RFQ development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions
  • Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for complex and specialized materials, equipment and services
  • Support the analysis and the evaluation of all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify cost improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's Procurement policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business degree with supply chain minor
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $18.70 to $22.69 per hour.
