Job Title: MIG Welder
Job Description

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for completing the welding of prefabricated assemblies. You will set up welding machines unassisted for any process or material thickness and operate a variety of fabrication equipment. You will also fabricate and weld complex assemblies from blueprints and read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Complete welding of prefabricated assemblies.
  • Set up welding machines unassisted for any process or material thickness.
  • Operate a variety of fabrication equipment including plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses.
  • Fabricate and weld complex assemblies from blueprints.
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Essential Skills
  • 4+ years of welding experience.
  • Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding.
  • Proficiency in FCAW (Flux core) welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with stainless steel and fabrication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to operate fabrication equipment such as plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses.
  • Experience in fabricating complex assemblies unassisted.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fabrication shop that is non-climate controlled, meaning it can get hot. You will be working with newer equipment in a well-organized weld cell layout.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
