Electrical Assembly Technician

Location: North Charleston, SC

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Schedule: 10-12 hour shifts, weekends required (temporary)

Pay: $22/hr to start

About the Role

Join a fast‑growing telecommunications company as an Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician, where you’ll play a key role in building high‑quality electronic components and assemblies that power critical communication systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with electrical wiring experience who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and being part of a team that values precision and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components using hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, and press‑fits.
  • Mount transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, sockets, and other components onto chassis panels.
  • Connect component wires to circuits and route wiring between individual component leads.
  • Install completed assemblies or subassemblies into cases, cabinets, and enclosures.
  • Position, align, and secure components using hand tools, fixtures, or assembly machines.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure all products meet company and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper care of tools and equipment.
  • Review parts lists, gather required components, and prepare workstations for efficient assembly.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Hands‑on experience with electrical wiring and wire harness assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools such as torque drills, wrenches, ratchets, and precision tools.
  • Experience in electronic and mechanical assembly environments.
  • Ability to accurately read and measure using a tape measure.

Additional Qualifications

  • Previous experience in general production or assembly line work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
