Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our team. In this role, you will load and feed bar stock into CNC lathes, operate CNC machines according to standard procedures, and monitor machine performance to ensure parts meet quality standards. You will perform basic measurements and visual inspections for accuracy, maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Previous experience operating CNC lathes preferred.
• Ability to read and understand basic work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical ability to lift and handle bar stock as needed.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to operate forklift and jib cranes.
• Capable of reading tape measures and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Skill in machine operation and lathe usage.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and manual lathe operations.
• Experience with CNC setup and machining.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and tooling issues.
• Understanding of tolerances and inspection techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, tape measure, and micrometer.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Hill, SC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
