Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for following detailed work instructions to disassemble, refurbish, and repair large industrial metal rolls. You will also be tasked with operating large grinding machines, using both hand and power tools, and employing micrometers, calipers, and other measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed work instructions to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Disassemble and refurbish large industrial metal rolls with attention to detail.
• Repair and assemble mechanical parts efficiently and effectively.
• Operate large grinding machines safely and proficiently.
• Utilize hand and power tools for various tasks, ensuring safety and precision.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools to ensure accuracy.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
• Knowledge of overhead crane operation.
• Understanding of the metric measuring system.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
