Job Description
Join our team as a Mass Production Parts Quality Engineer, specializing in either weld or plastics suppliers. Your role will involve leading in-depth analysis of quality problems to minimize impact on our manufacturing departments. You'll prepare and submit technical documents, communicate with suppliers, and set technical requirements for part change points. Your expertise will guide complex problem-solving analyses and investigations.
Responsibilities
- Lead in-depth analysis of quality problems, including parts measurements, to minimize impact on downstream customers.
- Prepare and submit technical documents to communicate quality problems using the NARS Honda Trouble Report system (HTR's).
- Set technical requirements for supplier part change points using the NA Change Point Control System (CPCS).
- Evaluate quality documents before management.
- Lead supplier Quality Assurance Visits (QAVs) to communicate concerns and confirm countermeasures.
- Mentor new associates on problem-solving, procedures, and Parts Quality role and responsibilities.
- Perform judgment, disposition, and handling functions for non-conforming part problems.
- Judge part quality received from suppliers and effectively solve quality problems using PDCA.
- Approve supplier countermeasures and supplier change points before production usage.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Timmonsville, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr.
