Shift: 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday
Job Description
Join a growing electronics manufacturer as a Warehouse Worker, supporting day-to-day operations across shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling. You will help ensure products move accurately and efficiently through the warehouse by inspecting incoming goods, logging inventory in computer systems, and preparing orders for shipment. Forklift experience is a strong advantage and will allow you to contribute to safe and timely movement of materials throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments by unloading trucks, verifying quantities, and checking items against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming materials and products for damage, accuracy, and quality, and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Log inventory accurately into the warehouse inventory system using a computer, ensuring all stock movements are recorded in a timely manner.
- Organize, label, and store products in designated warehouse locations to maintain an orderly and efficient storage system.
- Pick and pack orders according to work orders or pick lists, ensuring correct items, quantities, and packaging standards.
- Prepare outbound shipments by packing, labeling, and staging products for carrier pickup in line with shipping procedures.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including creating or handling shipping documents and coordinating with carriers as needed.
- Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and, if qualified, forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following housekeeping standards and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth warehouse operations and meet daily deadlines.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment focusing on shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
- Hands-on experience with inventory processes, including logging and tracking stock in an inventory system.
- Basic computer skills to enter, update, and retrieve data in inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain order in storage areas, and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and support a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Experience with material handling tasks such as picking, packing, unloading, and palletizing orders.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including handling of packing lists, labels, and shipment preparation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift experience is a significant plus and may include operating sit-down or stand-up forklifts for material movement.
- Comfort working with warehouse inventory systems and basic data entry in a computer-based environment.
- Attention to detail when inspecting products, checking quantities, and updating inventory records.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established warehouse processes.
- Reliable, punctual work habits and a strong sense of responsibility toward meeting daily operational goals.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse setting within an electronics manufacturing facility. You will work a full-time day schedule, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The work involves standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse, as well as handling boxes and materials. You will use common warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and may operate forklifts if qualified. The environment is fast-paced and process-driven, with a focus on safety, organization, and accurate handling of inventory and shipments. Appropriate work attire suitable for an active warehouse setting is expected.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rapid City, SD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
