Entry Level Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Seeking Trade School Graduates looking for their first maintenance job. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of packaging machinery by conducting inspections, repairs, and adjustments. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems will be key in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and adjustments on packaging machinery.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.
  • Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance documentation.
  • Uphold safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
  • Support smooth changeovers by setting up and adjusting packaging machinery for new product runs.
  • Perform line clearances and prepare production lines for startup.
  • Conduct equipment tests to verify performance and product quality.
  • Support spare parts inventory management.
  • Work with procurement to order parts and supplies as needed.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical skills gained through education or hands-on experience.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and safety principles (training provided if not completed).
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional Certificates/Associate's Degree preferred but not required.
  • Open to Trade School graduates seeking their first maintenance opportunity.
  • Experience with hand tools, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting.
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as regular bending, squatting, standing, climbing, and lifting.

Work Environment

Enjoy working in a clean, climate-controlled, and quiet environment, with temperatures never exceeding 71 degrees. The workplace is organized, solid, and employee-friendly. Positions are available on the 2nd and 3rd shifts, with opportunities for training and growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Clinton, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
