Press Operator

Join our dynamic team as a Press Operator, where you will be responsible for operating a 600-ton press to stamp metal sheets into parts for a variety of customers, including appliances and car parts. Your role will involve starting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the quality of the press operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage a 600-ton press for stamping metal sheets.
• Start and monitor press operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments during operations.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure standards are met.
• Stop press operations safely as needed.

• Previous experience with press operations is required.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing machinery and operations, including basic setup.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
• Basic math skills are essential.
• Physically able to lift 75 lbs.

• Experience with machine operation, blueprint reading, and sheet metal.
• Inspection and fabrication skills are advantageous.
• Mechanically inclined with experience in brake, tape measure, calipers, and stamping press.

Work Environment

Work the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The position requires working with heavy machinery in a manufacturing setting, focusing on quality and safety. Dress code aligns with standard manufacturing safety regulations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dickson, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
