Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Burn Table Operator with a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a team, communicate efficiently, and operate cutting-edge machinery.

3rd Shift: 11pm - 7:30am

Pay: $24-$25 starting pay

Responsibilities

• Work from verbal instructions, drawings, blueprints, sketches, bills of material, and cutting lists.
• Set up, adjust, and operate Multi-Torch, hand torch, Plasma flame cut, and Oxygen-Acetylene flame cutting equipment.
• Perform grinding and de-burring as required.
• Obtain oxygen and acetylene cylinders from stock as needed.
• Select raw materials for cutting and use drawings to determine cut requirements.
• Position materials using an overhead crane.
• Perform simple cleaning and maintenance operations.
• Scribe from patterns and conduct simple layout tasks.
• Report any abnormal equipment conditions to supervisors.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Read and utilize a tape measure accurately.
• Operate a metal band saw to cut steel for parts as required.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Oxyfuel or plasma cutting machines.
• Crane and forklift operation experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with burn tables, plasma torches, and laser operations.
• Machine operating and fabrication skills.

Work Environment

Work in a machine shop environment that is not temperature-controlled. Be prepared to be on your feet for 10-12 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hixson, TN.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
