Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler, where you will play a pivotal role in managing inventory and ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. You will be responsible for utilizing various material handling equipment and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down propane forklifts and cherry pickers to load and unload inbound trucks.
- Use RF scanners to pick orders for pickup or shipment, ensuring accuracy in inventory management.
- Engage with customers while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Handle inbound and outbound shipments, utilizing material handling equipment to move products safely within the warehouse.
- Stock and arrange products to optimize warehouse inventory turns.
- Perform cycle counting to determine accurate material quantities and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure pallets are stable and properly located, avoiding damage to material racking and equipment.
- Practice safe material handling techniques and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the work area.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models.
- Experience with RF scanners and material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Details
- Location: Knoxville, TN
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm or 7:30am - 4:30pm
- Pay: $20/hr
- Contract: 90 day contract with the option to go permanent after the 90 day period

Work Environment
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts either from 7am-4pm or 7:30am-4:30pm, depending on department assignment. Occasional weekend work may be required, and extended hours during the week are possible based on workload. The warehouse is not climate-controlled.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
