Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Endocrinology Clinic

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a key role in supporting providers and delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care within a busy endocrinology practice. This position provides both clinical and administrative support, including patient intake, vital signs, medication reconciliation, injections, care coordination, and patient education for chronic endocrine conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and metabolic diseases.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, polished, compassionate, and skilled in supporting patients who require ongoing disease management and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, weight, and blood glucose readings

  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during visits and procedures
  • Schedule appointments, follow‑ups, labs, and diagnostic testing
  • Communicate with patients via phone and patient portal regarding care plans and instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA compliance standards
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to support efficient clinic flow

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Highly reliable and punctual
  • Strong working knowledge of basic medical concepts, especially diabetes care
  • Excellent communication skills; able to spell and document accurately without relying solely on point‑and‑click EMR features
