Job Description
This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. The Industrial Maintenance Technician diagnoses and resolves issues with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, performs preventive maintenance, and supports safe and reliable operation of metal forming machinery and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.
- Diagnose and resolve issues on metal forming machines, including presses and related production equipment.
- Work with belts, conveyors, and associated material handling systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on production and support equipment according to established procedures.
- Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to identify potential problems and address them before failures occur.
- Use PLC troubleshooting techniques to assist in identifying control and automation issues.
- Safely handle and work around heavy objects and components using overhead cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Work at heights as needed to access and service equipment located above floor level.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work, support production goals, and maintain a safe work area.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems, including moving parts, belts, and conveyors.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems and components safely and effectively.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including diagnosis and repair of leaks, valves, and actuators.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment following established schedules and procedures.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting to help identify and resolve control system issues.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and components used in industrial machinery.
- Ability to work safely with overhead cranes and heavy objects.
- Comfort working at heights when servicing elevated equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintenance experience in steel or metal manufacturing environments.
- Background in repair and maintenance of metal forming machines and related industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with heavy industrial operations and equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and production staff about equipment status and repair needs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures and maintenance standards.

Work Environment

Employees should be prepared for varying temperatures throughout the year and comfortable working in a physically demanding, production-focused setting with appropriate industrial attire and personal protective equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of La Vergne, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $68640.00/yr.
401(k) Retirement Eligibility: After 60 days; company match is 5% of the first 6% of employee contributions Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability, starting the first day of the month following the hire date
