Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

This manufacturing facility is currently undergoing an expansion to develop new products by summer. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to assist in the creation and standardization of inspection and quality processes. The candidate will be responsible for understanding mechanical drawings to identify inspection points and developing processes for quality technicians to verify these points.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings to identify inspection points.
• Develop processes for quality technicians to verify and validate inspection points.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inspection points.
• Select appropriate tooling and gauges to ensure conformance.
• Handle non-conformance issues by following a checklist.
• Create non-conformance SOPs to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Essential Skills

• Quality control experience
• Ability to interpret and understand mechanical drawings
• Strong production background

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality control
• Knowledge of calibration, gauges, and tooling equipment
• Proficiency in root cause analysis, mechanical design, and Microsoft Suite

Work Environment

The work environment is high-pressure, requiring office work with occasional production floor time. The role is on-site, five days a week, during first shift hours. It is a contract position that has the potential to become a full-time role, offering engineering opportunities and growth within the company.
