Job Title: Controls Technician
Job Description
As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for building new electrical panels and wiring new and existing automated machine components. This includes working with robots, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), vision systems, servos, and other cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and modify PLCs to ensure optimal operation.
- Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, robotic, and pneumatic principles, including onsite design.
- Read and interpret diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions to modify new and existing machines.
- Wire control panels and machine wiring using provided drawings.
- Utilize a full range of measuring, gauging, analysis, machine, and hand tools to modify machines and equipment.
- Learn to use a variety of label printing machines.
- Set up and install new equipment at various locations.
- Communicate effectively with electrical and production engineers regarding problems, results, and corrective actions during equipment build and installation.
Essential Skills
- Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to set up PLC, back address, and load IP addresses.
- Proficiency in HMI (Human-Machine Interface) experience.
- Strong electrical skills.
- Experience with Omron systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in machine building and wiring.
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
- Control panel design experience.
