Job Description
The Civil Construction Superintendent oversees and coordinates all civil construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and resources effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all civil construction activities on-site.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage and supervise crews, subcontractors, and resources effectively.
- Interpret and implement blueprints and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil construction supervision.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA safety certification preferred.
- Experience in project management, electrical, construction, plumbing, and AutoCAD.
- Subcontractor management and safety compliance expertise.
- Experience with earthworks, concrete, grading, and commercial construction projects.
Work Environment
The role offers a schedule of four 10-hour days, allowing you to be home every night. A company vehicle is provided. The work environment includes both office and on-site locations, where adherence to safety standards is paramount.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
