Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CNC Operator to efficiently operate CNC mills, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks. The role involves inspecting parts using calipers, gauges, and micrometers, as well as reading blueprints and schematics with ease. Experience with tolerance levels as low as .0 and sometimes in the negatives is essential. The ideal candidate will be responsible for changing out broken tooling, setting up and tearing down machines, adjusting offsets, and performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills efficiently and accurately.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Work with tolerance levels as low as .0 and occasionally in the negatives.
  • Change out broken tooling and adjust offsets as necessary.
  • Set up and tear down machines for various tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines as needed.
  • Manage the operation of three machines simultaneously.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and precision in all tasks.

Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable with blueprint reading and precise measurements.
  • Experience with CNC milling and quality inspection tools.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a bonus for medical device industry experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with a microscope is a significant plus.
  • Swiss machine experience is highly sought after.
  • Open to candidates from OEMs, even without CNC experience.
  • Familiarity with low volume/high mix work environments.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, clean medical device facility, maintaining GMP standards. The shift runs Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
