Test Engineering Technician

WEEKEND SHIFT (FRI-SUN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Test Engineering Technician to support the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions. You will execute test qualifications of fixtures and programs according to specific system qualification processes, and provide deliverables to support solutions in production for both the Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the building and manufacturing of testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling to meet customer expectations.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation and training for all test solutions implemented to the Test Support function.
  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing function to ensure comprehensive documentation and training for all test operations implemented.
  • Monitor and contribute to the improvement of Test Yields, Efficiency, Intermittencies, and Uptime, providing accurate reporting and clear targets for improvement.
  • Strive to consistently upgrade the test process balancing cost and coverage with the goal of providing an optimized and cost-efficient test process.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and test support to ensure prioritization of support activities.
  • Coordinate the timetable for test readiness based on the weekly production schedule through the appropriate Test Support staff.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • 1-2 years of electrical, electronic, or computer component testing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong electrical skills, including low voltage testing, debugging, test development, software, and hardware.
  • Ability to understand and modify test scripts.
  • Ability to understand schematics and contribute to the development of DOE's and data gathering to resolve ongoing failure trends.
  • Basic skills with MS Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience using Python, JavaScript, or C# is preferred.
  • Familiarity with test development processes.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware integration.
  • Switchgear experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is based in a contract manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
