Job Title: GIS Field Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled GIS Field Technician to join our team, where you will demonstrate your knowledge of basic land surveys, including leveling, traversing, triangulation, metes and bounds surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys. You will interpret horizontal and vertical control points, records, and data sheets, while also showcasing your plan reading skills and understanding of measurement errors. Experience with Carlson SurvCE, Robotic total stations, and Javad GPS equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic land surveys such as leveling, traversing, and triangulation.
• Conduct metes and bounds, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Interpret horizontal and vertical control points, records, and data sheets.
• Demonstrate knowledge of plan reading and understanding measurement errors.
• Utilize Carlson SurvCE, Robotic total stations, and Javad GPS equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Geosciences or Geology
• 4+ years of field survey experience preferred
• Strong math skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain security clearances for access to client facilities
