Job Description
As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for the heavy maintenance of ERJ 145's and CRJ 200's. Your role includes maintaining and repairing the avionics systems of a fleet of ERJ 135 and 145 aircraft according to all specifications. You will document maintenance procedures, including component damage, origin, and condition, while practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Your duties will also involve performing daily scheduled and non-scheduled inspections, maintenance, repair, and alterations of aircraft, as well as troubleshooting defective aircraft systems and components effectively.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair avionics systems of ERJ 135 and 145 aircraft according to specifications.
- Document maintenance procedures including component damage, origin, and condition.
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
- Perform daily scheduled and non-scheduled inspections, maintenance, repair, and alterations of aircraft.
- Troubleshoot defective aircraft systems and components effectively.
Essential Skills
- Experience with avionics and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of aircraft and avionics installation.
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Experience with WiFi installs on Cessna 560.
- Familiarity with CRJ, Embraer, C-check, ERJ, and heavy maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Coax terminations.
- Use of a Daniel's crimper.
- Experience in jet maintenance.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled aircraft hangar located in Smyrna, TN, approximately 20 miles from Nashville. Be open to both 1st (5:30 AM - 4:00 PM) and 2nd (2:00 PM - 12:30 AM) shifts, either Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates transitioning from the military, particularly those from Fort Campbell, to gain civilian experience.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
