Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the upkeep of all industrial equipment, ensuring seamless operation through preventive and predictive maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting equipment, ensuring continuous operation of converting equipment and lines, participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives, executing repairs, and implementing technical solutions. Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance on all industrial equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine solutions.
- Ensure constant operation of converting equipment and lines.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Perform repairs and implement technical solutions.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment effectively.
Essential Skills
- Experience with maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and conveyor maintenance.
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience, particularly with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors.
- Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferably 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Preferred 5 years of related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility, with an average of 3 years in a non-FDA facility.
- Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is a plus.

Work Environment
The organization operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers. The plant runs continuously seve days a week, distributing products nationwide seven days a week. It is a liquid filling facility, and candidates with a background in liquid filling or packaging, especially from the food and beverage industry, are preferred due to the FDA-regulated nature of the facility.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
