Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with teams to solve process issues and drive continuous improvement. Support product costing, capital planning, quality planning, and various improvement initiatives. Work on fixture design, gauge and tool ordering, equipment specifications, supplier evaluation, and ensure on-time project implementation. Create and modify process documentation, check sheets, and standards as required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the timely manufacture of pre-production and prototype component samples.
- Analyze process data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct machine capability studies and implement countermeasures to meet targeted performance.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to achieve process excellence.
- Design and produce detailed drawings of fixtures, tooling, and gauging.
- Work overtime and/or weekends when directed by supervisor as necessary to complete project preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Engineering degree required.
- Proficiency in CNC programming on Fanuc and Brother controls.
- CAD experience on AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Basic understanding of PLC logic controls.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and circuitry systems.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Enjoys challenges and meets planned deadlines and project timelines.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
Work Environment
Work in an on-site manufacturing environment where you will need to stand or walk for the majority of your shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime. The position offers billable holidays and paid time off.
