Job Title: Lab Technologist


Job Description

The Lab Technologist performs a wide variety of basic and advanced hematology testing on whole blood, serum, urine, cerebrospinal fluids, and other body fluids.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic and advanced hematology testing on various samples.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment to analyze whole blood, serum, urine, cerebrospinal fluids, and other body fluids.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of samples in a high-volume setting.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in science or life science.
  • Certification as MT/MLT/CLS/MLS preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or ASCP certification in medical or clinical laboratory science with 0+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in life science with 1+ years of experience as an MLT/MT/CLS/MLS without certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Quick learner with proficiency in chemistry, biology, laboratory techniques, wet chemistry, microbiology, analytics, phlebotomy, aliquoting, pipetting, hematology, and medical laboratory procedures.
  • Attention to detail is crucial in this production-based role.

Work Environment

The Lab Technologist will work within the Hematology Department in a laboratory setting, handling high volume samples.
