Job Title: Compliance/Business Analyst
Job Description
The Business Analyst will leverage their expertise and strategic focus to conduct complex operational analyses and lead medium to large project teams, supporting informed decision-making within the business unit. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving findings for presentation to upper management, conducting statistical analyses, and coordinating initiatives with other business units. The role also involves directing, mentoring, and coaching lower-level analysts.
Responsibilities
- Develop or modify internal North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s (NERC) procedures for Operations and Planning as assigned.
- Update and submit personnel changes to the Compliance and Excellence (C&E) Team’s Roles and Responsibility (R&R) matrix for all NEET operating companies.
- Support the migration of procedures to NEET’s new Document Management platform.
- Create and modify Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAW) to ensure quality audit-ready documents.
- Conduct Sustainability Assessments, evidence review, and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including MIDAS reporting and supporting Order 881 Ambient Adjusted Ratings implementation readiness.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in NERC operations and planning or utility compliance.
- 3+ years of experience building and executing a NERC O&P compliance program.
- Specific knowledge of 693 Operations and Planning NERC standards.
- Familiarity with compliance software tools and platforms.
- Strong technical knowledge and writing skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree preferred plus 8 or more years of related experience.
- Project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Key role experience with a NERC regional entity or a regional transmission organization is a plus.
Work Environment
This is an in-office role located in Austin, TX. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the use of compliance software tools and platforms.
