Job Description

This position involves traveling to large material handling sites to perform controls qualifications, specifically I/O checks, on newly installed equipment. The role requires a strong understanding of Python or Java, as the engineer will be tasked with modifying scripts for site-specific checklists. The position ideally suits someone based in a central location, with projects primarily located in the western region. This role would be a 6+ month contract. This is a W2 position with benefits and 1.5x pay for overtime worked. There is potential for the contract to get extended or to go on direct after the contract.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various sites 60-80% of the time, with an estimated schedule of Monday to Friday over two weeks, followed by a one-week break.
• Perform I/O checks on 10-20 conveyance lines at material handling sites.
• Utilize and modify Python scripts for site-specific qualifications.
• Engage in PLC programming, primarily Ladder Logic with Allen Bradley, comprising 75% of the role.
• Ensure vendor quality assurance and compliance with IQ/OQ standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in PLC Programming.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Strong controls engineering knowledge.
• Ability to travel extensively.
