Job Description

Join our team as a janitor/custodian at a dynamic manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for performing custodial duties across your designated shift, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises. This role involves tasks such as trash collection, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms, as well as dealing with minor debris from ongoing facility construction. You will work independently with minimal supervision, managing your tasks efficiently while communicating supply needs to your supervisor. The facility is expansive, requiring significant walking, but with the team currently small, initial cleanup tasks are manageable. This position offers growth potential as the team expands.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial tasks including trash collection, sweeping, mopping, and bathroom cleaning.
• Manage cleanup of packaging and minor debris from facility construction.
• Work independently, notifying the supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
• Ensure consistent cleanliness of the facility.
• Handle floor maintenance using scrubbers, ride-on equipment, and side-by-side tools.

Must Have Skills

• At least 2 years of janitorial or custodian experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage daily cleaning tasks.
• Strong sense of responsibility and awareness of cleanliness standards.
• Experience using floor buffer machine

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Floor maintenance experience is required for higher compensation eligibility.

Work Environment

Work hours are 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for occasional weekend shifts. The position involves significant walking due to the large facility size.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookshire, TX.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
