Overview:

The Condo Reviewer plays a critical role in the broker division, overseeing the review of all condominium projects. This individual ensures compliance with investor guidelines and supports underwriting decisions for FHA and Conventional loans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, driven, and aspiring to grow into an underwriting role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate presence and accuracy of disclosures, insurance details, and tax returns.
  • Analyze natural hazard policies and city legal documents for compliance.
  • Determine data sufficiency and completeness for underwriting decisions.
  • Evaluate scenarios based on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA guidelines.
  • Use checklists to ensure alignment with both Fannie and Freddie requirements.
  • Communicate with brokers to obtain missing or clarifying documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Experience reading and interpreting legal and financial documents.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of reviews.
  • Interest in underwriting and career growth in mortgage operations.
  • Some mortgage experience or condo experience - be able to look at these documents and know what you are looking at
  • Understanding the conditions
  • Always going to be change so they need to be coachable
