Job Description
The Material Handler supports a high-volume cell phone repair and test operation by accurately moving, storing, and handling electronic devices and related materials in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse and production facility. This role focuses on inventory accuracy, safe product handling, and consistent material flow to production, test, and repair teams across multiple shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, stage, and move inbound and outbound cell phones and electronic equipment throughout the facility.
- Move, stage, and organize cell phones and materials in designated areas to support daily operations.
- Accurately pull, deliver, and transfer products to production, test, and repair areas as needed.
- Use RF scanners, inventory systems, WMS, or internal tools to process incoming and outgoing inventory and maintain accurate transactions.
- Pick, pack, and prepare units for storage or shipment according to customer specifications and internal standards.
- Package and prepare units for shipment, ensuring correct labeling, documentation, and protection of products.
- Support production, test, and repair teams by keeping materials flowing and available when needed.
- Perform basic inventory counts and assist with cycle counting to support inventory accuracy.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks; use forklifts if qualified and as needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and standards at all times.
- Handle electronic devices with care, paying close attention to quality requirements and ESD-sensitive environments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to support efficient and safe operations.
- Unload, move, and stage materials from inbound shipments and prepare outbound shipments for carrier pickup.
- Follow clear performance expectations and production goals in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational demands within the warehouse and repair facility.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during the shift.
- Basic computer or scanner experience, including use of RF scanners for inventory processing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products and recording inventory transactions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production and warehouse operations.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse, production, or repair environment.
- Ability to follow safety, quality, and ESD procedures consistently.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years of age.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.
- Experience in general labor, production, retail, or food service roles that involve standing, moving, and handling products.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience in a warehouse or production setting.
- Experience working in an electronics, manufacturing, or repair environment.
- Familiarity with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Understanding of ESD practices and working in quality-controlled environments.
- Experience with picking, packing, warehouse packing, and shipping and receiving activities.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and mechanical repairs is beneficial in a repair-focused environment.
- Familiarity with HVAC fundamentals, plumbing, or building maintenance concepts is a plus in a technical facility.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic issues in the work area and escalate when needed.
- Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, or manuals related to equipment or processes.
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented, production-driven environment with clear performance expectations.
- Strong focus on safety and detail when handling materials and operating equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required for certain tasks.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse and repair facility that is fully climate controlled. The environment is spacious, temperature-controlled, and designed for handling electronic devices in a quality-controlled and ESD-conscious setting. You will work in a fast-paced, production-driven operation with clear performance expectations and strong emphasis on safety and housekeeping standards. The facility uses RF scanners, warehouse management or internal inventory systems, and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, with potential exposure to forklifts where qualified. Shifts operate Monday through Friday for first and second shift, and an overnight schedule for third shift that includes Sunday and Monday–Thursday overnight hours. Work involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and moving materials throughout the facility in a team-oriented setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Coppell, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.50/hr.
