As a Mobile Plumber, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the site's water and sewerage systems. This role involves performing both preventative and corrective maintenance across a range of plumbing infrastructure. You will require hands-on experience with these systems and proficiency in the tools and techniques needed to maintain them effectively. Additionally, you may be tasked with general maintenance and support tasks as operational needs arise.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate knowledge of plumbing building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain plumbing equipment and systems.
- Perform Backflow Certifications with available training reimbursement.
- Anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to maximize the condition of facility structures and assets.
- Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of plumbing systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and correctly repair all aspects of plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics.
- Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completing assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
- Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools.
- Complete all documentation by required deadlines and document accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time.
- Perform all incidental and associated work required to complete job assignments.
- Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with the manager.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition.
- Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.
- Advanced plumbing system knowledge including water supply, drainage, venting, sewer systems, fixtures, pumps, valves, and piping materials.
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective repairs.
- Proficiency in installation and repair, skilled in assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various settings.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Backflow prevention expertise, including testing, repairing, and certifying backflow devices.
- Knowledge of code compliance, including local plumbing codes, building regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
- Skills in soldering, brazing, and pipefitting with various materials.
- Confident use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, inspection cameras, and diagnostic equipment.
- Preventative maintenance skills to assess system condition and perform routine maintenance.
- High school diploma or state equivalent required.
- Valid state driver’s license is required.
- Plumbing Journeyman’s and/or State License is required.
- Backflow certification is required (or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment).
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.

Work EnvironmentThis position requires working as a mobile plumber around the DFW metroplex. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The company provides a vehicle for work-related travel. The role involves working in various conditions, including extreme temperatures and confined spaces. Physical demands include lifting up to 80 lbs, working from heights, and operating a variety of tools and equipment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
