Summary:

We are accepting applications for Travel Technicians to work at various locations across the United States. This job is 100% travel and will consist of installing low voltage wiring and equipment such as IP cameras, Wireless Access Points, Routers, Switches, etc. Qualified candidates should expect to be on the road anywhere from 2 – 8 months at a time.

We are seeking a self-starter who can work well with a partner 6 days a week. The Travel Technician will be teamed up with a partner who will travel and work with them for the duration of the project. If you have someone in mind that you would want to travel with, we would consider them as well.


Responsibilities:

• Pull and terminate low voltage cable.

• Installing network equipment within commercial settings.

• Follow instructions and code when pulling cable.

• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.

• Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.

• Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and inner duct.

• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.

• Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.

• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.

• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the client, their customers, or OSHA.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

• Experience as a Data Cable Technician.

• Available for extensive travel nationwide.

• Ability to prioritize tasks. 

• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more multiple times per shift.

• Ability to work in cramped spaces.

• Hours of project 7 pm - 7 am 5 days a week.

• Ability and willingness to travel to Lowell, AR for new hire orientation.

• 100% travel of the USA

• Ability to operate a scissor lift; and ability to work at heights.

• Able to fill out the work order and take care of the tools provided by the office to do the job.

• Abide by PPE requirements. Company provides hard hat, vest, and safety glasses. Must provide your own steel-toed boots.

• Tools required by the technicians: hand tools, screwdrivers (both standard and Phillips), snips, punch down (impact), toner and probe, pliers, adjustable wrenches, joint pliers, and lineman pliers.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.


Benefits:

• Per-Diem paid $125 a day for food and lodging (or alternatively lodging can be prepaid booked for you and in that case per diem is $45/day to cover food).

• Company vehicle provided (traveling with a partner)
