Job Title: Construction Materials Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Materials Technician to join our field operations team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on experience performing field testing of concrete and soils, with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety. This role is fully field-based and requires reliability, independence, and technical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site testing of concrete, soils, and aggregates in accordance with industry standards
• Break concrete cylinders and conduct Proctor tests to ensure accurate and reliable results
• Travel to local project sites with required tools and equipment to collect samples
• Accurately document and report test results
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and specifications

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction materials testing and/or geotechnical field work
• Strong knowledge of concrete inspection, soil testing, and nuclear density gauge operations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a field environment

Preferred Certifications

• ACI Level I Field Technician Certification
• Third-party certifications such as ICC, NICET, or TXAPA

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing

Work Environment & Schedule

• 100% field-based position
• Typical work hours range from 40 to 70 hours per week
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
• Availability for early morning shifts, including 1:00–2:00 AM concrete pours, as required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
