Service (Alarm) Technician

Job Title: Service Technician

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $24–$26/hr (based on experience)

Pre-Employment Requirement: Must be willing to submit to background and drug screenings (including THC)

Additional Requirement: Must have reliable transportation

Overview:

We’re seeking a skilled Service Technician to join a growing team in Carrollton, TX. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least one year of commercial alarm installation experience who’s ready to take on diverse projects across hospitals, airports, and corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms
• Work with IP/analog cameras, access control panels, magnetic locks, card readers, motion sensors, and more
• Collaborate with project managers and technicians to complete documentation and meet project timelines
• Provide system training and support to customers
• Maintain accurate daily records and follow operational standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience installing commercial alarm systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently at customer sites
• Must have PPE: hard hat with chin strap, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and safety vest
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments including construction sites
• Comfortable with physical tasks such as climbing, crawling, and using power tools

Additional Details:

• On-site role with an average of 1–2 job sites per day
• No mileage reimbursement, but hourly pay includes drive time between sites
