Technical Writer

Technical Writer – El Paso, TX

A leading innovation‑driven organization in the engineering and energy solutions space is seeking a Technical Writer to join its growing team in El Paso. As a Technical Writer, you’ll be responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining a wide range of technical documents including user manuals, installation guides, manufacturing work instructions, and internal process documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, production teams, and subject matter experts to gather information, observe processes, and ensure all documentation meets internal quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys transforming complex information into clear, accurate, and user‑friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain technical documentation with clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to observe workflows and gather detailed information.
• Review engineering materials such as BOMs, drawings, and photos to support documentation needs.
• Organize content logically and adhere to internal writing standards.
• Proofread and improve existing documentation; recommend revisions to format, content, or style.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of technical writing experience, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or energy environments.
• Experience with CCMS or authoring tools, Microsoft Office, and Smartsheet.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of El Paso, TX.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
