Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for executing all necessary functions to manufacture tubes and cores while efficiently moving materials around the facility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various equipment, including winding and recutting machines, as well as sit-down forklifts.
• Manufacture and package tubes and cores according to order specifications.
• Check quality on every order, and complete quality and production sheets, along with any other necessary paperwork.
• Operate forklifts to move supplies and finished goods.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring special packaging instructions are followed.
• Complete shipping and receiving paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of machines and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inventory management, data entry, organization, and scheduling.
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Skill in operating various machines and equipment, including forklifts.
• Competency in reading and measuring with digital calipers and tape measures.
• Mechanical aptitude and excellent attendance record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Experience with SAP, Excel, Oracle, and inventory control systems.
• Familiarity with work orders, purchase orders, bills of lading, machine operation, corrugated paper tubing, blueprints, assembly, hand tools, and tape measures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FORT WORTH, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
