As a Soldering Technician, you will be responsible for soldering small circuit boards used in sensors and relay switches across various industries. You will employ work instructions and wiring diagrams to ensure precise placement of wires. This role involves both Surface Mount and Through Hole soldering on boards. The position requires a soldering test to determine your fit, although it is not a pass/fail assessment.
Responsibilities- Perform soldering on small circuit boards using Surface Mount and Through Hole techniques.
- Use magnifying glass for precision work with small components.
- Follow work instructions and wiring diagrams for proper wire placement.
- Participate in soldering tests to assess skill level and area of fit.
- Be available for overtime work on some Fridays and Saturdays based on business needs.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in soldering, specifically in Surface Mount or Through Hole.
- Ability to work with very small components requiring magnification.
- Competency in reading and interpreting work instructions and wiring diagrams.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills for one position that requires training on a laser engraver.
- Certification in IPC is a plus.
- Experience in soldering or small part assembly is beneficial.

Work EnvironmentYou will work a four-day, ten-hour shift from Monday to Thursday (7am-5pm) with potential overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. The facility is air-conditioned, and you will be stationed at a desk, working while seated.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50/hr.
