Pharmacy Floor Technician

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily pharmacy operations, including prescription preparation, medication picking, labeling, scanning, and workstation maintenance. This role requires accuracy, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Job Description
- Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Pull and pick medications from shelving, storage areas, and prepack racks
- Apply labels to blister cards, scan medications for accuracy, and report scan errors to the pharmacist
- Assist with processing returned medications and disposing/recycling per procedures
- Pre‑pack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low‑volume periods
- Package materials and products manually as needed
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and replenish stock supplies
- Follow all required government regulations, including HIPAA
- Comply with departmental policies on safety, attendance, workflow, and dress code
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- Overtime, holiday, and weekend work may be required
Additional Skills & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clear and active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (TX Board of Pharmacy)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace
Preferred:
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day
- Ability to sit or stand 7–10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
- Finger dexterity for equipment operation
- Visual acuity for reading fine print and color‑coded labeling
- Ability to hear normal voice sounds in a typical pharmacy environment
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Katy, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
