Material Handler

The material handler will be responsible for packing, auditing, picking, and moving items across the dock, as well as loading them. Candidates should have experience with a sit-down forklift at a minimum, with a preference for experience with standup, reach, and cherry picker forklifts. Those without experience in multiple forklift types should be comfortable around such equipment and willing to learn quickly, as training will be provided. The role involves manual packing and auditing tasks, but driving equipment is a priority. Comfort with heights is necessary, as the cherry picker reaches up to 28 feet.

• Pack, audit, pick, and move items across the dock.
• Load items efficiently and safely.
• Operate sit-down forklifts, with potential training on standup, reach, and cherry picker forklifts.
• Perform manual packing and auditing tasks.
• Ensure safety and comfort with heights up to 28 feet on cherry pickers.

• Experience with sit-down forklift.
• 6 to 12 months of experience in material handling.
• Comfort with operating forklifts and warehouse equipment.

• Experience with reach trucks and cherry pickers.
• Familiarity with wire guided forklifts.
• Willingness to learn and adaptability to new equipment.

This position is based in a non-climate-controlled distribution warehouse. Employees should be prepared for varying temperatures and wear appropriate attire for warehouse conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northlake, TX.

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
