Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with at least one year of experience in mechanical assembly within an electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment. This position is a 6-month contract with the potential for hire.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand assembly drawings.
• Assemble and build mail automation equipment.
• Use both hand and power tools to assemble equipment.
• Work independently and within a team depending on the project.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read assembly drawings (similar to IKEA furniture blueprints).
• Recognize parts such as pulleys, bearings, springs, and gears.
• Identify hardware like screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and snap rings.
• Experience using both hand and power tools is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with a strong focus on teamwork. The facility operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
