Travelling Data Center Technician

Our client is seeking to hire a highly motivated and technically skilled Traveling Data Center Technician to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center hardware across multiple locations. You’ll be on the front lines ensuring our mission-critical systems remain operational, secure, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to various data center sites to install, maintain, and decommission server and network hardware.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with remote teams to ensure seamless deployment and support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, configurations, and site-specific procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data center operations or IT field support.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, networking equipment, and structured cabling.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
