Part‑Time Front Desk Medical Assistant
We are seeking a professional and organized Part‑Time Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient‑facing environment and has strong experience working with insurance verification and front‑office clinical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage check‑in and check‑out processes
- Verify insurance coverage across multiple payers and plans
- Collect co‑pays, update patient demographics, and maintain accurate records
- Assist with basic medical office tasks as needed
Requirements
- Experience working with various insurance plans (commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.)
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a clinical front‑office setting
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior medical office or medical assisting experience strongly preferred
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of EMR systems
- Bilingual abilities (optional but helpful)
- Experience in a medical clinic setting
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
